dayna lives and conducts a portion of her work in Oakland and the East Bay Area which is unceded, traditional Lisjan Ohlone Land. As the original inhabitants and stewards, dayna wishes to honor their steadfast commitment to the land and to the interconnectedness of all beings. dayna would also like to acknowledge the people of African descent who were forced into chattel slavery and worked under brutal conditions in order to build this country. Descendants of those ancestors continue to be harmed by the lasting impacts of slavery and colonialism.
